Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) is an adventure/fantasy film which was directed by Tim Burton. The film is an adaptation of the book by Roald Dahl. Analytical Approaches Methods: 1) Give a short description of each and an example if possible from a film of your choice: Film: Hacksaw Ridge -Genre Analysis: Hacksaw Ridge is classed as a historical drama film. As it is based on a true story from World War 2, everything that the audience can see in the film is all true facts. This gives the film its historical genre. -Content: The content in Hacksaw Ridge is mostly based off of true facts, however a minority of the content is non-fiction. The whole film is based in 1945, close to the end of World War 2. The film is based on a soldier called Desmond Doss. He was a conscientious objector and was the first conscientious objector to be awarded the medal of honour. As portrayed in he film, he was treated very roughly, but when he was allowed to go to battle, he rescued approximately 75 wounded soldiers from the battlefield on his own, while being wounded 4 times himself while he was stationed at Okinawa. -Narrative: Hacksaw...
